This building is a 6 story, 70-unit multifamily apartment that element was hired to design a hybrid geothermal field to compliment the interior HVAC system. The field was designed and installed under the building footprint of this lot line to lot line space. With an innovative design the geothermal field has a 5 year simple payback.
Title Boxing Club

This project was a tenant buildout of a 1-story slab on grade retail space for the Title Boxing Club to use as a boxing training gym. This MEP design incorporated simple design controls with traditional RTU's to balance increased ventilation needs with an economic heating system all while maintaining the brand aesthetics of the club.

Historic Landmark
This minimally invasive retrofit includes a geothermal HVAC system to provide air conditioning to the space for the first time while supplementing the existing radiant heating system. Element was a sub-designer to the EOR, Architectural Consulting Engineers, to help with the MEP CAD drafting, certain design aspects, and some of the construction administration feedback to contractors during the restoration.

The element team members designed the geothermal HVAC system for this large-scale residential development in southwest Chicago. Solar PV panels were also installed on each of the 22 buildings to supplement the electrical demand of high efficiency geothermal heat pumps installed in each residential unit.
